About the Creator

H. Blake-Lee MA Sociology, MLIS, BA Visual Art​

Artist, researcher, educator and game designer with a background in studio art, sociology, and library and information science. Blake-Lee's work combines visual art, social research, and creative thinking to encourage advocacy, communication, critical thinking, and human connection. 

 

Blake-Lee designs and facilitates interactive, research-based activities that bring people together to explore different perspectives and document their experiences. She developed Caution! The Card Game featuring multiple artworks to provide people with a visually engaging and accessible framework to explore concepts that can be difficult to talk about, but necessary to address, such as artificial intelligence and its impact on education and social connection.

 

Her research-based approach incorporates gathering insight from participant observations and feedback to support ongoing research, development of creative learning experiences and different communities of artists, learners and educators.
